Senior Director - Account Director (NAVSEA Surface Warfare Centers)
Location: Crane/Bedford, Indiana (100% Onsite)

Position Overview:
SAIC seeks a dynamic and accomplished Senior Director to lead and drive growth within a diverse portfolio supporting NAVSEA's Surface Warfare Centers. Reporting to the Combat and Strategic Systems (CSS) Market Leader within the Army Navy Business Group (ANG), the Senior Director will provide forward-thinking leadership to foster team cohesion, build and maintain strategic relationships, and leverage financial and operational expertise to achieve growth objectives.
This highly visible role requires a collaborative and results-driven leader with a proven ability to manage complex portfolios and inspire high-performing teams. With a funding allocation of 75% direct support to customer-facing functions and 25% indirect efforts such as portfolio strategy, business development, and enterprise-level growth, the Senior Director will be pivotal in shaping the future of the CSS Market.
Key Responsibilities:
As a critical leader within the CSS Market, the Director will:
Strategic Leadership and Portfolio Management:
  • Partner with the CSS Market Vice President to define and execute strategic growth initiatives within the ANG, ensuring alignment with SAIC's enterprise-wide objectives and business standards.
  • Lead and mentor multiple Program Managers managing diverse engineering and professional services programs that address the Navy's most complex missions.
  • Oversee the operational performance of ongoing projects, ensuring alignment to customer requirements, stakeholder expectations, budgets, and timelines.
  • Establish and sustain innovative mechanisms to monitor project progress, proactively address challenges, and ensure achievement of cost, schedule, and quality objectives.

Business Development and Growth:
  • Identify, qualify, and capture strategic opportunities to grow the Market portfolio, with a specific focus on Strategic Systems, Spectrum Warfare programs, and Autonomous Systems.
  • Develop and maintain a robust, actionable pipeline that directly supports ANG's long-term growth objectives.
  • Create and promote a collaborative cross-functional team environment, leveraging talent and technical expertise across the SAIC Enterprise to deliver world-class solutions tailored to DoW priorities.
  • Drive the development of comprehensive call plans, gathering customer requirements, and positioning SAIC for success in future pursuits.

Financial Stewardship:
  • Define and manage budgets for overhead, capital expenditure, and personnel training to support the strategic vision for the portfolio's long-term growth and sustainability.
  • Analyze program financial data to measure performance against cost and schedule objectives, ensuring sound fiscal management across the portfolio.
  • Optimize resource allocation to maximize operational and financial performance while fostering a culture of accountability.

Stakeholder Engagement and Operational Excellence:
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, partner organizations, and stakeholders (focused on NSWCs) to deliver seamless, customer-aligned solutions.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with DoW leadership, ensuring superior levels of client satisfaction and trusted advisory capabilities.
  • Act as a thought leader and strategic partner in SAIC's growth strategy by identifying technical and facility gaps and proposing innovative resolutions to challenges and risks.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical, regulatory, and quality standards, escalating issues to senior leadership as appropriate.

  • Business Acumen: Proven success in managing and expanding diverse portfolios (preferably > $100M annually) while executing sound financial decision-making.

  • Relationship Building: Deep understanding of DoW's mission and priorities, paired with the ability to cultivate and sustain strategic partnerships inside and outside the organization.
