KBR is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support planning, development, integration, operation, and evaluation of autonomous systems simulation environment. The selected candidate will work closely with government, industry, and partners to assess technology maturity, develop integration strategies, and support acquisition planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support simulation-related analysis, requirements development, and systems engineering activities.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams within AF/LCMC engineering, user communities, and external autonomy experts.

  • Support integration plans, interface definition, verification strategies, and test approaches for autonomous systems.

  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including operators, engineers, and acquisition professionals.

  • Execute simulations to evaluate system effectiveness or suitability under relevant operational conditions and scenarios.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for leadership.

  • Flexibility & Adaptability: Maintain a willingness to accept changing and evolving roles & responsibilities in support of customers' requirements and needs.

Work Environment:
  • Location: On-site - Beavercreek Ohio; Hybrid 3 days minimum in office

  • Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%

  • Working Hours: Standard

Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with requirements management software (GitLab, Artifactory, Nexus), Test Management, and Defect Tracking (JIRA).

  • Hands-on experience with container technologies, including Docker and Podman, for building, running, and troubleshooting containerized applications.

  • Familiarity in systems engineering processes (requirements, integration, verification, validation).

  • Exposure to Modeling & Simulation concepts & Standards (e.g., JSE Framework).

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field 5+ years of experience in autonomy development, autonomous systems integration, AI/ML systems, robotics, or advanced mission systems.

  • Experience with DoD acquisition or military aviation programs.

  • Security Clearance: Minimum Secret

Desired Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in flight test as a discipline engineer or test conductor

  • Prior experience supporting Air Force programs, particularly in Fighter, unmanned systems, or advanced mission systems.

  • Experience using Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) or Digital Integrated Air Defense System (DIADS) simulator software.

  • Knowledge of digital engineering tools, modeling & simulation, and architecture frameworks (e.g., DoDAF, UAF, MBSE).
