Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the engineering, design, and development of electrical power generation systems and associated hardware.
  • Manage and guide a team of engineers to successfully deliver projects, ensuring high technical standards, product quality, and on-time completion.
  • Promote effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, including design, analysis, manufacturing, and testing functions.
  • Support and mentor engineering personnel, encouraging skill development, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Verify that all designs comply with applicable regulations, safety requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Drive the creation of innovative engineering approaches to address complex technical problems.
  • Oversee test planning and execution, evaluate results, identify deficiencies, and implement solutions to achieve performance and safety objectives.
  • Evaluate technical risks and establish mitigation plans to minimize project impact.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between internal teams, customers, and stakeholders, providing updates and presenting engineering progress and solutions.
  • Travel may be required on an occasional basis, both within the United States and internationally (less than 10%).

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in aerospace engineering, including demonstrated leadership in technical roles.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Background in systems engineering within regulated environments, working across multidisciplinary teams and products.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ARP4754A, RTCA/DO-254, RTCA/DO-178C, or similar aerospace compliance frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace design, production, and validation processes.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements from agencies such as FAA and EASA.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and think strategically across multiple engineering domains.
  • Experience with electrical systems engineering in aerospace applications.
  • Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g., Windchill RV&S, IBM Rational DOORS, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with engineering software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of system integration and verification, particularly for aircraft electrical power generation and distribution, including requirements decomposition.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, with a willingness to learn new tools, take on challenges, and contribute to team improvements.

Salary Range: $90,000-$105,000
