About the Position:
We are looking for an experienced System Architect who will be mainlyin charge of identifying technical solutions and modeling System Architecture for Automotive Displays, Clusters, Body Control & Telematics (ECU's). Also actively involved in benchmarking studies, market trends for Hardware and Software architecture in Automotive industry.
Your Responsibilities will be:
  • As part of the Offer Team, contribute to the early definition of the product during the offer phase, in order to make a proper evaluation of the Hardware/Software perimeter, related development and related cost. Coordinate the generation of the Technical Dossier for the offer.
  • During project execution, Define and maintain ECU system architecture using the appropriated modeling rules and best practices and using the recommended tool chain (Enterprise Architect/Rhapsody).
  • Ensure architecture is modular, scalable, and optimized for performance, safety, and maintainability.
  • Conduct design and implementation reviews to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Monitor technology trends on Hardware & Software functionalities, benchmarking proposals from different vendors.
  • Serve as a decision-maker for critical technical choices and trade-offs.
  • Ensure a full mapping of the System Requirements related to Hardware, mechanics, optics and industrial constraints to the System architectural design, in cooperation with the System Requirements Engineer
  • Elaborate internal System Requirements related to performance goals or architectural constraints, in cooperation with the System Requirements Engineer.
  • Model the System at functional, logical and physical levels, also allocating System Requirements to the Software and Hardware System blocks.
  • Participate when requested to the meetings with the customer, supporting the Program Management team, Product Engineer and Software Project Leader on technical discussions.
  • Provide governance to the Software team about the different implementation options.
  • Support the Functional Safety Management Team and the Functional Safety System Architect in the Technical Safety Concept and Requirements definition.
  • Support the Software and Hardware teams during reviews and implementation of critical requirements.
  • With the support of the Product Engineer, define the assembled Bill Of Material of the different variants of the product to be developed, highlighting variant-specific sub-parts / components.
  • Ensure the generation of the product End-Of-Line Configuration File.
  • In charge of System Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (System FMEA) during the initial phase of project execution.
  • Support System defects analysis, using different methodologies (e.g. Fault Tree Analysis - FTA).
  • Communicate architecture decisions effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Represent system in technical reviews and workshops with customers and partners.
  • Build confidence by ensuring transparency and technical rigor.

What Qualifications you will bring:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of embedded product development experience in automotive ECU programs.
  • Strong knowledge of embedded C/C++, RTOS, and microcontroller-based development.
  • Experience on Operating Systems (OSEK, AUTOSAR)
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (CAN, LIN, SPI, Ethernet, UDS, LVDS).
  • Knowledge of product & software development standards (ASPICE, ISO 26262, ISO 21434).
  • Prior experience on Architecture modeling methodologies and tools (Enterprise Architect and Simulink tools, UML and SYSML languages) is required.
  • Automotive industrialization rules & manufacturing processes (End Of line, product calibrations)
  • Requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS)
  • Knowledge of Automotive technical, environmental and homologation standards (JASO, ISO, ECE, etc.)
  • Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence tools)
  • Analytic tools (APIS IQ) and methodologies (e.g. FMEA, FTA)

Other skills that we would welcome:
  • Prior experience as a System Architect or Software Architect in automotive products development.
  • Exposure to multiple ECU domains (Body Control, Infotainment, Instrument Cluster, ADAS, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience working with OEMs like Stellantis, Nissan, GM, Ford, VW, BMW, etc.,
  • Work VISA necessary
