Responsibilities include: * Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade software applications. * Implement AI/ML data pipelines and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems for mission-critical workflows. * Ensure all deliverables meet DOE compliance, security standards, and operational requirements. * Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and cross-functional teams to support national security and customer objectives. Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other Engineering Field with AI hands on experience * 2+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack development (.NET, Python, React/Blazor) * Proven experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines * Experience with AI/ML integration, RAG systems, and data pipeline engineering (ETL, NiFi, Spark) * Familiarity with secure/regulated environments (DOE compliance, IP whitelisting, secret management, audit-ready logging) Preferred: * Active Q or TS-eligible security clearance ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION * Software Development & Architecture: 50% (Designing full-stack applications, implementing CQRS, REST APIs, Blazor/React frontends, unit testing) * Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering: 10% (containerization, CI/CD pipeline management, performance optimization, local first deployment, AWS/Azure integration) * AI/ML & Data Pipeline Integration: 15% (Building RAG systems, ETL pipelines, data ingestion for ML models, spend tracking, OSINT integration) * Security & Compliance: 15% (Implementing hardened security controls, DOE/agency compliance, SSM secret management, log sanitization, audit readiness) * Cross-Functional Collaboration & Documentation: 10% (Working with security/infra teams, Agile workflows, technical documentation, code reviews) Unusual or Special Physical Requirements of Position * Lifting: 0%
