Position Summary 

Aqua Membranes is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Development Specialist to support the growth of our innovative water filtration solutions. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in customer-facing industries such as automotive services, car wash operations, retail sales, or service management who are looking to build a career in industrial sales. 

The Sales Development Specialist will identify prospective customers, build relationships, qualify opportunities, and support the sales team in promoting Aqua Membranes' advanced reverse osmosis membrane technology. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to understand customer needs and provide value-driven solutions. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and outbound outreach. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with industrial, municipal, and commercial customers. 
  • Conduct introductory sales calls and qualify potential opportunities. 
  • Schedule meetings and product demonstrations for the sales team. 
  • Maintain accurate customer information and activity records within the CRM system. 
  • Follow up with leads and existing customers to ensure a positive customer experience. 
  • Identify customer challenges and communicate how Aqua Membranes' technology can provide operational and cost-saving benefits. 
  • Support trade shows, industry events, and customer visits. 
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams on lead-generation initiatives. 
  • Prepare sales reports and provide updates on pipeline activity. 

Experience: 

  • Proven success in B2B sales to distributors and large multi-unit owner/operators  
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and build new corporate accounts in markets with limited prior penetration  
  • Track record of displacing low-cost commodity incumbents through value-based selling strategies 
  • Previous experience in automotive services, car wash operations, or sales/business development in similar fields preferred.


Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Ability to build rapport and develop long-term customer relationships. 
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems. 
  • Ability to learn technical information related to water treatment and filtration systems. 
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally. 


Preferred Skills 

  • Experience with upselling products or services. 
  • Experience meeting sales goals or performance metrics. 
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment, manufacturing, or water treatment industries is a plus. 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
