Job description

Trustlane Automotive is a busy, growing independent automotive repair shop in Salinas, and we are looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our team.

This is not an entry-level customer service position. We are looking for someone who already understands the automotive repair process and can confidently communicate with customers, present repair recommendations, build estimates, and help keep a busy shop operating efficiently.

Compensation

$60,000 – $120,000 per year, based on experience and performance

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• No weekends

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers and understand their vehicle concerns
• Build estimates and repair orders accurately
• Review technician findings and present repair recommendations clearly
• Help customers understand and prioritize needed repairs and maintenance
• Maintain consistent communication with customers throughout the repair process
• Coordinate with technicians, parts, and management to keep workflow moving
• Follow up with customers regarding recommended services and repairs
• Provide professional, honest, and knowledgeable customer service
• Help maintain an organized and efficient service department

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer is required
• Experience working in a busy automotive repair shop or dealership
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Confident explaining automotive repairs and maintenance to customers
• Ability to build estimates and present recommendations professionally
• Strong organization and follow-through
• Ability to manage multiple customers and repair orders in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working closely with technicians, parts, and management
Bilingual English/Spanish is required
• Tekmetric experience is a plus
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset
