Job Description

Summary:

Falcons Fury Harley-Davidson is looking for a motivated Apprentice Powersports Technician to join our fast-paced, high-volume service team. If you have a desire to become a Harley Davidson technician, take pride in your work, and want to be part of the growing Sonic Powersports group - we want to talk to you.

Responsibilities:

  • The apprentice technician is assigned a 'Mentor,' usually a Master Technician, to assist him/her in acclimating to dealership operations in addition to sharing the Mentor's technical knowledge and one-on-one training. They will be assisting the apprentice as necessary.
  • Perform work as outlined on the repair order.
  • Learn to perform maintenance, install accessories, and diagnose/perform repairs.
  • Examine the vehicle performing a multi-point inspection (MPI) and video highlighting the results of the inspection.
  • Recommending additional service work if found during the MPI.
  • Call upon your Mentor or Service Manager when you have a question or need assistance.
  • Collaborate with Service Advisors to ensure smooth communication and accurate work orders.
  • Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and professionalism to the Sonic Pride and Risk Management standards.
  • Obtain OEM training and certifications - we invest in keeping you sharp
  • Deliver every unit in better shape than it arrived
  • Help maintain customer satisfaction by ensuring jobs are done right the first time
Qualifications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude 
  • Must own or acquire a complete set of tools within 60 days of hire
  • Valid motorcycle license required for test rides, good driving record, and ability to pass pre-employment screenings (background check, drug test, MVR)
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Motorcycle, Marine, or Automotive program. UTI/MMI as examples.
  • Prior experience working in a high-volume dealership or powersports service center
