This position is ideal for candidates with experience in automotive service advising, customer service, retail sales, hospitality, account management, automotive maintenance, dealership operations, or consultative sales.


As a Service Advisor, you will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. You'll help customers understand their vehicle's maintenance and repair needs, provide accurate recommendations, communicate service progress, and deliver an exceptional ownership experience from start to finish.


What You'll Do

  • Greet customers and serve as their trusted advisor throughout the vehicle service process
  • Listen to customer concerns and accurately document maintenance and repair requests
  • Inspect service needs and recommend appropriate maintenance, repairs, and vehicle care services
  • Provide transparent estimates, pricing information, and repair recommendations
  • Schedule service appointments and manage workflow to ensure an efficient customer experience
  • Communicate with technicians regarding diagnostics, repair progress, and completion timelines
  • Keep customers informed with regular updates throughout the service process
  • Review inspection results and explain maintenance recommendations in a clear and professional manner
  • Promote dealership service specials, maintenance packages, warranty coverage, and manufacturer-recommended services

  • Follow up with customers after service visits to ensure satisfaction and build long-term relationships

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, Automotive Consultant, Customer Service Representative, Retail Sales Associate, or similar customer-facing role preferred
  • Basic automotive maintenance and repair knowledge preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent sales, customer service, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using dealership management systems (DMS), scheduling software, or CRM platforms is a plus
