Position: 1st AND 2nd Shift Plating Inspection and Packing Team Member
1st Shift: Monday โ€“ Thursday, 6:00am to 4:00pm

Location: Lapeer, MI

Lapeer Plating & Plastics, Inc. is seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our 2nd Shift Plating Inspection and Packing team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing company that values continuous improvement and team collaboration.
No Experience Necessary โ€“ Comprehensive Training Provided!
As a 1st or 2nd Shift Plating Inspection and Packing Team Member, you'll play a key role in ensuring the quality and proper packaging of high-visibility, chrome-plated automotive components. Youโ€™ll be trained to perform detailed inspections and carefully pack finished parts to meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
You will perform a range of tasks, including:
  • Inspection: Carefully examine chrome-plated and plastic automotive components for surface defects and quality standards.
  • Loading or Unloading: Carefully rack and unrack plastic or plated parts of from or onto plating parts racks
  • Packing: Accurately pack parts into boxes or containers to prepare for shipment.
  • Material Handling: Load and unload components efficiently to support workflow.
  • Lifting: Safely handle and lift packaging weighing up to 60 lbs.
Note: This position may also involve light trimming or clipping tasks depending on production needs.

Position Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically able to stand, move, and lift up to 60 lbs. for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation and a commitment to punctuality, especially during the 60-day probationary period.
  • Willingness to follow all safety practices and work procedures.
