Job description

Injection Molding Operator

Location: North Phoenix Az
Schedule:

  • 1st shift Monday- Friday 5:30am -2pm
  • 2nd shift Monday -Friday 2pm -10:30pm

Pay: $18 BOE

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Molding Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating molding presses, inspecting products for quality, maintaining accurate production records, and ensuring compliance with safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, takes pride in quality work, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate molding presses and remove nasal hoods from molds
  • Inspect molded products to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Record daily production numbers and maintain accurate logs
  • Complete Molding Traveler documentation and enter totals into the system
  • Respond to machine alarms and perform minor troubleshooting
  • Assist with press start-up, shutdown, and changeovers
  • Follow work orders for material mixing and barrel preparation
  • Weigh materials using a scale and transfer into designated totes
  • Label products accurately with correct lot information
  • Notify warehouse when totes are ready for verification and storage
  • Perform line clearance and clean workstations at the end of each order
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and follow 5S practices
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), QA work instructions (WI), and SOPs

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Frequently lift and move boxes or bins weighing up to 30 lbs
  • Push, pull, and maneuver material barrels using a dolly
  • Stand for extended periods
  • Sweep and mop work areas as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing or molding experience preferred
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
