Automotive State Inspection Technician | Up to $50 Flat Rate

Location: Olney, MD
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, plus two Saturdays per month (7:00 AM–12:00 PM)
Pay Rate: $35.00–$50.00 per flagged hour
Pay Type: Flat Rate

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Automotive State Inspection Technician to join our growing team in Olney, Maryland. This is an excellent opportunity for a production-minded technician who enjoys performing inspections, completing quality repairs, and working in a busy shop with a consistent workflow. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Maryland State Safety Inspections.
  • Diagnose and complete repairs required for vehicles to meet Maryland State Inspection requirements.
  • Perform general automotive maintenance and repair services as needed.
  • Accurately document inspection findings and repair recommendations.
  • Complete repair orders using shop management software.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Deliver high-quality repairs while maintaining productivity.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of professional automotive repair experience.
  • Current Maryland State Inspector License preferred.
  • If not currently licensed, willingness to obtain a Maryland State Inspector License within the first six months of employment.
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
