Outside Sales Representative

Are you a relationship builder who enjoys being out in the field, meeting customers, finding solutions, and growing a book of business? Refinish Supply Company is looking for an Outside Sales Representative who is driven to develop customer relationships and make us the first call for automotive paint and refinishing products.

In this role, you’ll work directly with professional customers—including body shops, collision centers, dealerships, and other automotive businesses—to understand their needs, recommend the right products and solutions, and identify opportunities to grow sales.

You’ll have the independence to manage your territory while having the support of an experienced store team behind you. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional who enjoys a competitive environment, building long-term relationships, and seeing the results of their efforts.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with wholesale and professional automotive customers
  • Regularly call on customers according to a sales strategy developed with the Store Manager and management team
  • Grow sales by understanding customer needs and identifying opportunities to introduce additional products, programs, and services
  • Make Refinish Supply Company the first call for automotive paint, refinishing products, supplies, and equipment
  • Prospect for new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, and other business development activities
  • Identify new customers and accounts and develop them into long-term business relationships
  • Present products, promotions, sales programs, and solutions that provide value to customers
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current products, promotions, pricing, and sales goals
  • Work closely with inside sales, store, and management teams to ensure customers receive exceptional service
  • Follow up with customers to build loyalty, address concerns, and uncover additional sales opportunities
  • Accurately complete sales reports, customer information, and other required documentation
  • Conduct sales transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Participate in product, sales, and industry training to continually expand product knowledge and sales skills
  • Represent Refinish Supply Company in a professional, knowledgeable, and positive manner
  • Assist with store operations and other team members as needed
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of automotive, automotive refinishing, collision repair, or related sales experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of the automotive aftermarket, paint, refinishing, or collision repair industry
  • Proven ability to build relationships and develop new business
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while managing a sales territory
  • Strong customer service and consultative selling skills
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to identify customer needs and recommend products or solutions
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple customers and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working toward sales goals and performance targets
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and other desktop computer programs
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
