Engine Builder - Motorsports Industry Leader
Location: Santa Clarita, CA
Hourly Rate: $25-$35 (DOE)

Overview: A leading motorsports organization is seeking a skilled Engine Builder to join its high-performance team in Santa Clarita. This hands-on role involves rebuilding, inspecting, and maintaining race engines with a strong focus on quality control, documentation, and shop upkeep.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform full engine rebuilds including teardown, cleaning, inspection, measurement, sub-assembly, and final fitting
  • Track engine and component mileage; maintain detailed engine history and evaluate condition
  • Troubleshoot engine and performance issues; recommend and document countermeasures
  • Generate technical and summary reports; develop and refine engine build procedures
  • Document build issues and evaluate assembly processes for consistency and quality
  • Maintain shop cleanliness including washroom and grinding room
  • Manage engine carts, dollies, tools, and consumables inventory
  • Sort and dispose of stock parts, chassis, and project materials
  • Perform precision tasks such as honing valve guides and polishing valve faces

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in high-performance engine building or certified dealership technician work (automotive or motorcycle)
