Local FAMILY OWNED independent repair shop has an opening for a motivated mechanic at our clean, family-owned, independent repair shop in Auburn, NY. We pride ourselves on providing the highest-quality repairs and customer service at fair, honest prices.

WE WILL OFFER TOP PAY, AND AN INCENTIVE , PRODUCTION-BASED PAY PLAN FOR THE RIGHT CANDIDATE

Qualifications:

ยท Proven experience as an Automotive Technician with at least 3 years of on-the-job experience

ยท In-depth knowledge of automotive repair techniques and procedures.

ยท Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing automotive electrical systems.

ยท Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

ยท Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.

ยท Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

- Willingness to operate in a very close-knit, team-based shop

Responsibilities:

  • Repair brake and steering systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems.
  • Replace or repair transmissions and internal engine repairs as needed.
  • Repair cooling system components and systems, including air conditioners and engine cooling.
  • Perform NY State safety and emissions inspections.
  • Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, rotating tires, etc.).
  • Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting diagnosis and work performed
  • Experience in diagnosing check engine light concerns
  • Experience with Air Conditioning systems and familiar with evacuation equipment
  • Must have own tools, shop does provide a large amount of shop tools

  • Valid New York Driver's License (required)
  • NYS Motor Vehicle Inspector License (required)

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: Up to $100,000 PLUS per year (*based on experience). FLAT RATE pay with monthly and weekly commission based on production
