Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000 – $170,000+ per year (Competitive Base Salary + Monthly Total P&L Override + Performance Bonuses)
About the Role

Are you an experienced, complete-package Automotive General Manager who knows how to run a profitable variable sales floor and drive high-margin, high-efficiency Fixed Operations?
We are seeking a high-performance General Manager to take total operational and financial command of our dealership operations in the Novi / Metro-Detroit market. In this role, you will hold complete P&L accountability—driving top-line vehicle sales while ensuring our Service, Parts, and Reconditioning departments operate at maximum absorption and profitability.
If you are an active, floor-present operator who knows how to optimize the service drive, speed up recon turn-times, and build a winning team culture across all departments, we want to talk to you.
Key Responsibilities

  • Total P&L Accountability: Manage total dealership financial performance across Variable (Sales & F&I) and Fixed Operations (Service, Parts, Recon). Focus heavily on driving high Service Absorption to cover dealership operating expenses.
  • Fixed Operations Leadership: Partner with Service and Parts managers to optimize technician productivity, labor rates, customer pay hours per RO, warranty processing, and parts inventory turnover.
  • Rapid Reconditioning Execution: Implement streamlined reconditioning processes to get acquire-to-lot turn times down, keeping inventory retail-ready faster to reduce holding costs.
  • Sales & Team Building: Recruit, coach, and retain top talent across Sales, F&I, and BDC. Build an aggressive, accountable, and high-energy showroom culture.
  • Process & CRM Enforcer: Oversee strict CRM utilization (Vin-solutions, eLead, DealerSocket, etc.), lead follow-up cadences, desk management, and customer retention programs.
  • Prepare OEM Financials
  • DMS Dealer-track
  • Compliance & CSI Excellence: Maintain exceptional Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores in both Sales and Service while maintaining a 4.5+ star Google review rating.
Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 3–5+ years of successful experience as an Automotive General Manager with proven direct oversight of Fixed Operations.
  • Proven Fixed Ops Track Record: Demonstrated success in expanding service drive revenue, improving technician retention, increasing hours per RO, and managing reconditioning flow.
  • Financial Acumen: Deep mastery of dealership financial statements (P&L), composite reports, departmental forecasting, and expense control.
  • Leadership Style: Hands-on, floor-present leader who actively manages across both the sales floor and the service drive.
  • Local Market Knowledge: Strong familiarity with the Metro-Detroit / Oakland County automotive market.
  • Licensing: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record required.
Compensation & Benefits

  • Top-Tier Executive Pay Plan: Strong base salary + aggressive monthly total store P&L percentage override (Variable + Fixed Ops) + volume bonuses ($150k–$250k+ overall earning potential).
  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance coverage.
  • Retirement Plan: 401(k) with company match.
  • Time Off: Paid Time Off (PTO), paid vacation, and company holidays.
  • Executive Perks: Demo vehicle allowance / company vehicle program and executive leadership support.

Please attach an updated resume detailing your dealership management experience, including key metrics across vehicle volume, gross profit achievements, and Fixed Ops / Service absorption growth.
