The Automotive Mechanicis responsible for inspection, repair and diagnostic services. You will work on computer systems diagnosis, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical/electrical component replacement. You must have the ability to explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include other associates and customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform work specified repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or OEM standards.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brake, air conditioning, etc. to specification.
  • Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to management and customers.
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
  • Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
  • Work will be performed in a manufacturing facility and can include working on the assembly line.

Qualification/Requirement:
  • Current driver's license; clean driving record.
  • Pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Work assigned schedule which may include multiple shifts, weekends and holidays; work overtime when required.
  • Arrive to work on-time.
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferably have experience with OEM.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Working knowledge of shop equipment such as diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.

Environmental Requirements:
  • Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise.
  • Some duties performed outside in all weather conditions.
  • This is a physically demanding position.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Must be able to work at heights up to 20-25 feet.
  • Regularly stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours.

Experience/Education:
  • Must obtain a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to two years' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
