Job description

Position Overview

PrideStaff are currently seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Assembly Associates to join our production team in Wixom. In this role, you will play a critical part in building the technology that protects, moves, and connects drivers worldwide. You will be responsible for the accurate and efficient assembly of automotive locking systems while ensuring that every part meets our rigorous quality and safety standards.

Pay Rate $18.55

Day shift. 6am-Shift ends when production requirement is met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Precision Assembly: Ensure the correct and accurate assembly of automotive latch and access system components using various hand tools and specialized equipment.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform regular visual checks and quality inspections on all parts to ensure they meet strict safety and automotive manufacturing standards.
  • Material Verification: Verify that the correct parts, hardware, and sub-components are present and properly staged at your workstation prior to beginning assembly.
  • Line Troubleshooting: Actively participate in problem-solving on the production line, identifying minor assembly issues and helping to resolve them to minimize downtime.
  • Safety & Housekeeping: Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in compliance with 5S standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or automotive assembly environment is highly preferred, but we will train the right candidate.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to stand for the entirety of the shift and lift/carry materials up to 35 lbs as needed.
