IAV is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior IP/Console Engineer for Interior Systems to join our team. In this role, you will lead the development and integration of instrument panel and console systems across the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through validation and production launch.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering innovative, high-quality electrical solutions from concept through production while collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Essential Responsibilities & Activities:

  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure accurate and timely data uploading into systems.
  • Lead engineering changes and updates to IP/Console components and assemblies to support:
  • Manufacturing feasibility, Performance improvements, Integration with interfacing systems.
  • Obtain and manage B-Release approvals for IP/Console components.
  • Ensure tooling readiness and alignment with program timing and downstream deliverables.
  • Lead and support DV/PV testing activities, including planning, execution, and issue resolution.
  • Drive rapid resolution of open issues throughout development and build phases.
  • Support supplier builds and ensure deliverables meet program requirements.
  • Support onsite prototype and customer builds.
  • Track and manage all open IP/Console issues through development phases to closure.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams .
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years’ experience in engineering Instrument Panel / Console Systems thru all development phases
  • Experience with Catia software system and pulling in and cutting sections in data.
  • Understanding of Instrument Panel / Console system requirements
  • Experience in DV/PV testing phase for instrument panel / console
  • Fast resolution of open issues for instrument panel / console
  • Strong understanding of the quality process from DFMEA, PFMEA and Control plans
  • Take direction from team lead to modify components for engineering/design/safety requirements.
  • Works well in a team and fosters a collaborative, innovative work environment.
  • German language proficiency preferred.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across cross-functional and global teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong proficiency with verbal and written communication skills, analytical problem solving, and creativity.
  • Willingness to travel, as needed
