Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester with strong expertise in software quality assurance, test automation, and Selenium-based testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across the complete testing lifecycle, including System, Integration, Regression, User Acceptance, Performance, and functional testing.

Experience working in Agile environments, large-scale programs, public-sector projects, and preferably Integrated Eligibility / Human Services domains will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and detailed test cases.
  • Perform System, Integration, Regression, UAT, Performance, and functional testing.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and Selenium automation frameworks using Java/Python.
  • Convert business and technical requirements into comprehensive test scenarios and executable test cases.
  • Ensure requirements traceability throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Execute manual and automated test cases and document test results.
  • Identify, document, track, and validate defects through resolution.
  • Apply various testing techniques, including Black Box, Gray Box, Load, Coverage, and Regression Testing.
  • Collaborate closely with Scrum Masters, SMEs, Test Leads, Developers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, requirements discussions, test planning, and release activities.
  • Support QA processes and work with stakeholders to obtain delivery and release sign-off.
  • Maintain test cases, defects, and testing documentation using Jira, Confluence, and Xray.
  • Support automation execution and integration with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, automation frameworks, and overall product quality.
Required Qualifications
  • 3 6+ years of professional software testing experience.
  • Experience across System, Integration, Regression, UAT, and Performance Testing.
  • 3+ years of hands-on test automation experience.
  • Strong experience developing and maintaining Selenium automation frameworks.
  • Strong scripting/programming experience with Java and/or Python.
  • Experience developing test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
  • Experience with requirements traceability and SDLC processes.
  • Strong understanding of Black Box, Gray Box, Load, Coverage, and Regression Testing.
  • Hands-on experience working in an Agile/Scrum delivery environment.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Xray.
  • Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD, preferably Jenkins.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working on public-sector projects.
  • Experience with Integrated Eligibility (IE) systems.
  • Experience in the Human Services / Eligibility domain, including programs such as SNAP, TANF, Medicaid/MA, and ME.
  • Experience combining test automation and performance testing within large-scale programs.
  • Experience working with enterprise QA processes and cross-functional delivery teams.
Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
