Position Title: Sr. Infrastructure Automation Engineer
Location: Remote near any of the 14 locations: (Richmond, VA / Charlotte, NC / Baltimore, MD / Boston, MA / New York City, NY / Philadelphia, PA / Cleveland, OH / Atlanta, GA / Chicago, IL / St. Louis, MO / Minneapolis, MN / Kansas City, MO / Dallas, TX / San Francisco, CA)
Position Description:
Seeking a highly skilled Sr. Infrastructure Automation Engineer for a 18-month contract with potential for extension or permanent placement. This remote role is based out of Richmond, VA, and involves designing, building, and maintaining automation solutions that streamline infrastructure operations. You'll develop scalable, secure AWS cloud environments, create reusable Terraform modules, and craft automation scripts in Python, Bash, PowerShell, and Ansible. Your expertise will help reduce manual effort, improve system reliability, and accelerate deployment processes. Key milestones include identifying automation opportunities within 90 days, reducing manual work by 30%+ within 6 months, and establishing IaC standards across teams within one year.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement automation frameworks and reusable infrastructure patterns using Terraform
  • Architect and deploy secure, scalable AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Develop automation tools and scripts with Python, Bash, PowerShell, and Ansible
  • Build CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment and testing
  • Create self-service resource provisioning platforms
  • Write automated monitoring and remediation workflows
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across cloud, network, and systems
  • Optimize existing automation frameworks for performance and reliability
  • Provide technical guidance on infrastructure automation best practices
