Job description

Summary

Cobalt AI uses automation to elevate physical safety and security in the workplace. Our Cobalt Monitoring Intelligence platform combines AI-powered technology with trained human specialists to provide 24/7, human-verified monitoring of surveillance cameras, alarms, access control systems, and autonomous security solutions across enterprise environments.


We're seeking an experienced Director of Marketing to own the company's marketing strategy, execution, and marketing operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll lead all aspects of marketing-including positioning, demand generation, content, events, CRM and marketing technology, marketing operations, reporting, and sales enablement-to build a qualified enterprise pipeline and strengthen Cobalt AI's position in the physical security market.


This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable developing strategy and executing campaigns in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.The ideal candidate has a strong background in enterprise B2B marketing and is equally comfortable building campaigns, managing Salesforce and the marketing technology stack, optimizing lead lifecycle processes, and using data to drive marketing performance and revenue growth.


Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Positioning

  • Develop and execute Cobalt AI's overall marketing strategy.
  • Own messaging, positioning, and competitive differentiation across target industries and buyer personas.
  • Translate business priorities and product launches into measurable marketing initiatives.
  • Serve as the internal expert on ideal customer profiles (ICP), customer insights, and market intelligence.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership on go-to-market strategy.

Demand Generation

  • Build and execute multi-channel demand generation campaigns targeting enterprise buyers.
  • Develop account-based marketing (ABM) initiatives aligned with Sales.
  • Manage digital campaigns, email marketing, partner marketing, and lead nurture programs.
  • Optimize campaign performance based on lead quality, conversion rates, pipeline contribution, and revenue impact.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales on target accounts, campaign execution, lead routing, and follow-up.

Content & Sales Enablement

  • Develop high-quality marketing content across the buyer journey, including case studies, one-pagers, sales presentations, landing pages, website content, email campaigns, and thought leadership.
  • Create sales enablement materials such as battle cards, pitch decks, objection handling guides, and product collateral.
  • Ensure all messaging is technically accurate, differentiated, and aligned with the Cobalt AI brand.

Events & Field Marketing

  • Lead planning and execution for major industry events, including GSX and ISC West.
  • Manage event strategy, logistics, lead capture, post-event follow-up, and ROI reporting.
  • Evaluate sponsorship and field marketing opportunities that align with target accounts and business goals.

Marketing Operations & Technology

  • Own and optimize Cobalt AI's marketing technology ecosystem, ensuring Salesforce and integrated platforms support scalable demand generation, lead management, campaign execution, and pipeline reporting.
  • Serve as the primary owner of Salesforce for Marketing, including campaign management, campaign attribution, lead lifecycle management, CRM data quality, reporting, dashboards, and marketing analytics.
  • Manage and optimize integrations between Salesforce and marketing automation, sales engagement, website, analytics, and data enrichment platforms.
  • Develop and improve lead routing, lead lifecycle processes, campaign tracking, and attribution models that provide visibility into marketing's contribution to pipeline and revenue.
  • Build reporting dashboards measuring pipeline contribution, campaign performance, lead progression, and marketing ROI.
  • Identify opportunities to improve marketing systems, automation, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage external agencies, technology vendors, and marketing partners as needed.


Qualifications

Required

  • 8+ years of B2B marketing experience.
  • 3+ years leading or owning the full marketing function.
  • Experience marketing enterprise SaaS, AI, cybersecurity, security technology, or other complex B2B technology solutions.
  • Proven success driving qualified enterprise pipeline through demand generation and sales alignment.
  • Expert experience using Salesforce as a marketing CRM, including campaign management, lead lifecycle management, reporting, dashboards, campaign attribution, and pipeline analytics.
  • Hands-on experience managing and optimizing marketing technology platforms, including CRM, marketing automation, sales engagement, analytics, website, and data enrichment tools.
  • Experience building or improving CRM processes, marketing workflows, campaign execution, lead routing, and marketing reporting.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms.
  • Exceptional writing, messaging, and content development skills.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration experience.
  • Comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.

Preferred

  • Experience in physical security technology, access control, video surveillance, alarm monitoring, or related industries.
  • Experience marketing to enterprise security, facilities, risk, or compliance leaders.
  • Experience with sales engagement platforms, account-based marketing (ABM), and data enrichment tools.
  • Experience with CMS platforms and website management.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, or Pardot.
  • Experience implementing or optimizing marketing technology integrations and reporting.
