  • Design, modify, and program electrical systems, automation systems, and operator interfaces
  • Design, automate, and modify equipment according to customer needs
  • Participate in the commissioning of new or modified equipment while ensuring performance and safety
  • Manage automation projects: needs analysis, purchasing, supervision of manufacturing, design, programming, and production start-up
  • Support and optimize systems in production
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards
  • Identify root causes of equipment failures
  • Provide technical support to partners
  • Approve and seal plans, specifications, and technical documents as part of engineering work

Profile

With the following skills and qualities, you will succeed in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, combined with more than 5 years of experience in electrical engineering within a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with Allen Bradley software, AutoCAD Electrical, FactoryTalk View (an asset), and Ignition (an asset)
  • Knowledge of the Canadian/Quebec Electrical Code
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge and experience in machine safety
  • Strong ability to take full ownership of projects and ensure proper follow-up
  • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to employees
  • Ability to speak and read English (3/5)
  • Knowledge of the MS Office suite
