Job description

We are seeking an Automation Engineer in Latrobe, PA
-Responsible for purchasing and design of automation.
-Responsible for the generation of cost saving opportunities related to automation and the presentation of this to management on a regular basis.
-Maintains and improves all existing automation machines in the division.
-Coordinates automation activities with outside suppliers.
-Generates specifications for new automation machines.
-Approves designs of new automation machines.
Manages construction time schedules to meet the production schedule needs on new automation machines.
-Responsible for procurement of purchase orders for automation projects at suppliers.
-Assists in production start-ups as related to automation machines
-Assists with the troubleshooting of new and existing automation machines.
-Oversees each division"s continual improvement of automation machines.
-Assists other divisions with various automation projects as needed.
-Required to use a handheld propane torch on the production floor.
