Electrical/Automation Maintenance Supervisor

We have an opening for an Electrical/Automation Maintenance Supervisor at our Bowling Green, KY location. As the Electrical/Automation Maintenance Supervisor, you will supervise the plant electrical/automation maintenance team.

Our plant is high-volume, fast-paced 24/7-365 days/year manufacturing environment. In this role, you will work a regular work week typically of M-F 5:45am-3pm. However, the Electrical/Automation Supervisor will have on-call responsibilities and may be required to work on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Working hours may vary as specified by plant needs and leadership requirements.

The crew that you will supervise work 12 1⁄4 -hour shifts (5:45am-6pm/5:45pm-6am) working 3 days on/3 days off and rotating from day to night shift every 6 weeks.

What You Will Be Responsible:

  • Provide administration and supervision of the plant electrical/automation maintenance function.
  • Arrange for maintenance of adequate level of supplies, materials and parts so that there will be no interruption in operations due to shortages.
  • Resolve technical problems encountered related to area of responsibility, including but not limited to: electrical building facilities, robotics, PLC's and automation.
  • Provide and plan technical training for Industrial Electrician Technician team.
  • Arrange for all equipment in area to be properly maintained and upgraded as needed.
  • Provide daily logs including daily scheduled and nonscheduled work sheets and equipment Preventative Maintenance (PM's).
  • Initiate, review, master, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment; including correcting unsafe acts/conditions, facilitating monthly safety meetings, performing monthly safety inspections, and investigating accidents, as required.
  • Support development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the food safety system.
  • Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department and the company and include an ability to handle stress, to establish and maintain a positive and productive work environment.

What Are We Seeking:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Broad training in a related field usually acquired through college degree level education or work-related experience
  • 2 year or more years of working with Industrial Electrical equipment and building facilities.
  • 2 or more years of people leadership experience.
  • Controls and robotics experience, troubleshooting, maintenance and programming of PLC's.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain a strong cohesive team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive for results in dynamic circumstances.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degrees in relevant technical discipline.
  • Experience within a high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • 4+ years of experience leading/supervising automation/electrical teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC's.
  • Experience using JD Edwards or any similar ERP system for ordering parts, etc.
