Manufacturing Technology Engineer II

The Manufacturing Technology Engineer II rolewill act as theIndustry4.0 technical SME.Theengineerwillhelp us drive the transformation of our manufacturing processes into the fourth industrial revolution.You will work closely with cross-functional teams toidentifyareas of improvement and develop solutions thatleveragesimulations,automation, artificial intelligence, and other Industry 4.0 technologies.

Essential Functions

  • Design, develop, and implement smart factory solutions that help tooptimizeproduction processes and improve overall efficiency

  • Develop andmaintaindetailed project plans and manage project timelines to ensure successful implementation of Industry 4.0 initiatives

  • Identifyopportunities for automation, robotics, digital twins,machine learning,and other digital technologies to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of Industry 4.0 solutions toidentifyopportunities for continuous improvement

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering,network, andIT to design and deploy Industry 4.0 solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, and quality

  • Work with vendors and suppliers to evaluate and integratenew technologiesand tools.

  • Proactively report on project progress against schedule.

  • Recognize potential problems with existing equipment and develop solutions with the ability to adapt to various engineering designs, applications, and processcriteria.

  • Work with internal stakeholders toidentifytheir requirements and develop innovative solutions that meet and exceed these needs.

  • Create and organize documentation on all MT solutions tofacilitateknowledge transfer to Niagara manufacturing sites.

  • Proactively engage with customersin order todefine the overall technical approach for Manufacturing Technology solutions.

  • Maintain technical skills and knowledge and keep themcontinuously updated.

  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning sessions.

  • This position requires40%-60%travel.
