Ironclad is the leading AI contracting platform that transforms agreements into assets. Contracts move faster, insights surface instantly, and agents push work forward, all with you in control. Whether you're buying or selling, Ironclad unifies the entire process on one intelligent platform, providing leaders with the visibility they need to stay one step ahead. That's why the world's most transformative organizations, from Rivian to the World Health Organization and the Associated Press, trust Ironclad to accelerate their business.
We're consistently recognized as a leader in the industry: a Leader in the Forrester Wave and Gartner Magic Quadrant for Contract Lifecycle Management, a Fortune Great Place to Work, and one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Workplaces. Ironclad has also been named to Forbes' AI 50 and Business Insider's list of Companies to Bet Your Career On. We're backed by leading investors including Accel, Y Combinator, Sequoia, BOND, and Franklin Templeton. For more information, visit www.ironcladapp.com or follow us on LinkedIn.
About the role:
Ironclad is hiring a Senior Finance Systems & AI Engineer to own the data infrastructure, system integrations, and AI automation that power our Finance teams. This role sits within the Finance organization and reports directly to the VP of FP&A with a dotted line to the Controller.
What you'll be doing:
Finance Systems Architecture & Integration
  • Design and maintain reliable, low-manual-touch integrations across the Finance stack using iPaaS platforms or equivalent
  • Partner with Data Engineering on BigQuery pipelines that serve as the analytics layer for Finance
  • Own the Finance systems roadmap end-to-end, from strategic design to implementation
  • Define and enforce data governance standards: field definitions, hierarchy taxonomy, department and cost-center mapping, and change-control SLAs
EPM Platform Ownership
  • Own FP&A planning platform end-to-end: model architecture, formula logic, dimension hierarchies, integration design, long-range planning (LRP), rolling forecasts, full-year budgeting, and headcount planning
  • Configure EPM so each FP&A analyst owns their planning area independently with minimal admin bottleneck
Financial Close Automation
  • Partner with the Controller to identify and automate the highest-cost manual steps in the monthly close: reconciliations, journal entry support, accrual calculations, and intercompany matching
  • Build automated pipelines that produce a reliable, fully-loaded P&L forecast each month
AI Automation & Agentic Workflows
  • Identify high-ROI automation opportunities across the FP&A and close cycle like variance analysis, anomaly detection, reconciliation; build agents and pipelines to eliminate them
  • Design human-in-the-loop controls and auditability frameworks so automated outputs are trustworthy and SOX-compliant
  • Build using the right tools for the job: Python for prototyping and scripting automation logic, BigQuery + dbt for data transformation

What we're looking for:
  • 5+ years in Finance and 3+ Years in Finance Systems, Business Applications, or FP&A Engineering at a high-growth technology company, with demonstrated ownership of outcomes rather than tickets
  • AI-first mindset and hands-on experience: you've built or deployed AI/LLM-powered automation in a Finance or operations context
  • Proficiency in Python (or equivalent) for scripting, prototyping automation logic, and quality-checking AI-generated outputs
  • Deep hands-on experience with at least one modern EPM platform including data model design, formula logic, and integration configuration
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite (or equivalent ERP) including chart of accounts, dimensions, reporting structures, and API/integration patterns
