TL;DR Kharon is seeking a full-time Senior Engineering Manager based in Denver. This role requires in-office attendance 3 days a week. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of full-stack, frontend and backend engineers across a few squads, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance.
  • Own the architecture and delivery of Kharon’s application suite—ensuring services are modular, scalable, and performant while maintaining tight alignment with platform goals.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for API design (REST/GraphQL), microservices orchestration, frontend state management, and architectural documentation.
  • Drive adoption of modern application tooling (e.g., React, Vue, Java and Python, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS-native services) and cloud-native architectural patterns.
  • Implement and oversee application governance including security protocols (OWASP), service-level objectives (SLOs), and automated testing strategies.
  • Promote a culture of quality and user-centricity, ensuring high availability, low latency, and a seamless user experience across all platforms.
  • Evaluate and implement LLM integrations and emerging AI technologies into the product interface to enhance user workflows and deliver intelligent application features.
  • Optimize the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a focus on developer experience, automation, and continuous deployment.
  • Translate business requirements into technical roadmaps, partnering with Product and Data teams to build features that turn complex data into actionable insights.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent additional experience
  • 8-10+ years software engineering, of which includes 2-3+ years working as an engineering manager leading multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong coding skills in Python, Java, or a comparable language, with a solid foundation in modern software development practices.
  • Deep experience designing and scaling web applications and cloud native architectures
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams with a focus on mentorship, technical rigor, and a strong engineering culture.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of delivering measurable outcomes, driving technical roadmaps, and aligning initiatives with business goals.
  • Experience working across global markets and collaborating with cross-functional partners in fast-moving environments.
