Job description

What You Will Do

Under general direction, responsible for the sale of HVAC service, building automation (BAS), and retrofit solutions to building owners and facility leaders. Promote the Johnson Controls value proposition by providing technical and business solutions that improve building performance.

Build and manage long-term customer relationships while identifying, qualifying, and closing new sales opportunities. Position renewable service agreements as the foundation of account relationships, while expanding accounts through service agreement growth and retrofit opportunities across HVAC and building controls systems.

How You Will Do It
Sell Johnson Controls offerings persuasively and confidently to decision-makers at the Director and facility leadership level
Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and referrals
Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive long-term partnerships
Focus on selling, renewing, and expanding service agreements, including multi-year agreements
Identify customer needs and recommend solutions related to HVAC systems, controls, and building performance
Drive additional revenue through mechanical retrofits, controls upgrades, and system improvements
Execute the sales process to consistently generate and close opportunities
Collaborate with internal teams including sales, operations, and engineering to deliver solutions
Present value-based solutions aligned to customer operational, environmental, and business objectives
Maintain accurate account and opportunity information using CRM tools
Support customer satisfaction, resolve issues, and identify ongoing expansion opportunities

What We Look For
Required:

Minimum of 2-3 years of field sales or related experience
Experience selling HVAC, building automation (BAS), or technical service solutions
Demonstrated ability to sell service agreements or other intangible solutions
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence decision-makers
Self-motivated with the ability to manage opportunities and close business
Commitment to integrity and quality in business
Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field
Experience selling service agreements, maintenance contracts, or recurring revenue solutions
Knowledge of HVAC systems and/or building automation systems
Experience identifying and selling retrofit or system upgrade opportunities
Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce or similar)
Exposure to formal sales processes or methodologies

Salary Range: HIRING SALARY RANGE: $60,400-$90,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience,knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
