Job description

Overview

We are seeking a Test Automation Consultant to support a large-scale ERP modernization initiative within a highly regulated federal environment. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions to improve testing efficiency, accuracy, and repeatability across SAP and integrated systems.

The consultant will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, streamline testing processes, and enhance overall software quality through robust automation frameworks.

This is a 75% remote position with approximately 25% quarterly travel to the Washington, DC metro area.

Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens with an Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement automated testing solutions to replace manual testing processes
  • Create and maintain automation scripts using Java, VB Script, or similar scripting languages
  • Utilize SAP test automation tools and object recognition techniques to ensure accurate and efficient test execution
  • Integrate automated testing solutions into CI/CD pipelines and existing development workflows
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to define testing strategies and identify automation opportunities
  • Execute automated test cases and analyze results to ensure system quality and reliability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test scripts, automation frameworks, and tool integrations
  • Continuously enhance automation frameworks to improve performance, stability, and scalability
  • Support test planning, execution, and reporting activities across project phases
  • Maintain documentation of test scripts, automation processes, and testing standards
Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship required with an Active Secret Clearance or higher
  • 3–6 years of experience in test automation, with a focus on SAP or ERP environments
  • Proficiency in automation scripting using Java, VB Script, or similar programming languages
  • Experience with SAP testing tools and automation frameworks
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and automated deployment practices
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, including functional, regression, and integration testing
  • Ability to identify automation opportunities and develop scalable, reusable test scripts
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in a federal or highly regulated environment preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • W2 Hourly rate starts at $70.54. Pay rates are based on experience and qualifications, and are subject to change at any time.
