Job description

As an Automation Apprentice at Lufkin Industries, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining Lufkin Automation equipment under direct supervision, diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical/electronic issues, and ensuring efficient operation and installation of related equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain Lufkin Automation equipment under direct supervision
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical/electronic equipment
  • Perform on-site installation of electrical/electronic equipment, including conduits
  • Operate various electronic tools and equipment, such as auto cranes and stud guns
  • Assess and address well-optimization issues independently or with the help of technical specialists
  • Collaborate with other business entities and manage customer service standards and quality
  • Follow HSE procedures rigorously
  • Other projects as required

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs and perform physical activities in different types of weather conditions

Essential Characteristics

  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings
  • Experience in oilfield operations, automation, and instrumentation (preferred)
