Job description

OVERVIEW:

Our client, a Global Fortune 50 organization and one of world's largest distributors of Health care systems, medical supplies & Pharmaceutical products,seeks an accomplished Certified Pharmacist.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • This will be an onsite role.
  • Location: 4971 Southridge, Suite 115, Memphis, TN 38141
  • Duration: 6 months assignment with possible extension
  • Shift Hours: Monday – Friday: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM as needed || Saturday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM as needed
  • Must be available to work at least 2 days or more based on business needs

Must-Have Requirements:

  • Active Tennessee Pharmacist License required
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work evening schedules and Saturdays as needed

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The candidate will work in a highly automated pharmacy environment alongside pharmacists, technicians, and operations staff to meet production goals.
  • This role is responsible for managing workflow in the central fill pharmacy to ensure medication orders are dispensed accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Review and dispense medication orders accurately and timely
  • Replenish hoppers and oversee pharmacy automation systems
  • Supervise technicians, clerks, and support personnel
  • Perform quality checks during production as requested
  • Document and report medication errors to supervisors and PIC
  • Ensure compliance with all State and Federal laws
  • Oversee return-to-stock processes
  • Provide guidance and support in filling medication orders
  • Provide professional product information to operations teams when needed
  • Monitor storage and distribution of pharmaceuticals
  • Perform end-of-day assignments and follow building closing protocols
  • Encourage teamwork and assist team members as needed
  • Follow company and pharmacy policies and procedures
  • Maintain high attention to detail

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
  • Licensed as a registered pharmacist with an unrestricted Tennessee license
  • Eligible for pharmacy licensure in other states
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and personnel
  • Ability to sit and stand intermittently for long periods
  • Ability to bend, reach, type, and push or pull carts
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume pharmacy environment
  • Strong operational oversight and workflow management skills
  • Ability to perform production quality checks accurately
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills
  • Licensed in additional states preferred
  • Prior pharmacy experience preferred
  • Prior experience in a high-volume pharmacy preferred
