Mohs Surgery Faculty

Develop a Troy-based Mohs surgery practice with academic affiliation, departmental collaboration, and the opportunity to help launch services in a brand-new outpatient setting. The University of Michigan seeks a Mohs Surgeon, BC/BE in Dermatology, for a full-time role in Troy, Michigan. Connect with us today to learn more.


Opportunity Highlights

  • Earn competitive compensation in an academically affiliated Mohs surgery role
  • Help establish Mohs surgery services in Troy for University of Michigan Dermatology 
  • Practice in a brand-new Troy outpatient facility opening in Spring 2027 
  • Focus primarily on Mohs surgery, with 100% Mohs preferred 
  • Build a referral base within Troy and the surrounding community 
  • Serve as the sole Mohs provider at the Troy location 
  • Work 8–9 half-day sessions per week in a full-time Troy-based role 
  • Perform approximately 10–12 cases per day at full ramp-up 
  • Receive approximately 60%–70% internal referrals plus network and community referrals 
  • Practice with community-based autonomy in a lower-complexity suburban setting 
  • Hold an academic appointment with the University of Michigan 
  • Access departmental collaboration through virtual consultation and pathology review 
  • Participate in tumor boards and departmental conferences across the system
