Direct Hire | Full-Time
Schedule: Every Other Wednesday, Thursday-Saturday
Shift Hours: 5:30 PM - 6:00 AM

Compensation is determined by experience, education, technical expertise, certifications, internal equity, and market conditions.

About the Opportunity
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a leading advanced manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Automated Equipment Maintenance Mechanic for a night shift direct hire opportunity.
This highly skilled maintenance professional will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving automated manufacturing equipment and associated mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and controls systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive industrial maintenance experience and strong PLC troubleshooting capabilities within a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and controls systems.
  • Utilize PLC software and ladder logic to diagnose machine control and automation issues.
  • Complete preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Support process validation and equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot complex automated manufacturing equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Implement permanent corrective actions to eliminate recurring failures and reduce downtime.
Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute to process optimization through equipment modifications and maintenance improvements.
  • Recommend enhancements to operating procedures and reliability practices.
  • Support equipment performance improvement projects throughout the facility.
Technical Leadership
  • Mentor and assist less experienced maintenance mechanics.
  • Develop and maintain expertise across manufacturing technologies and automated equipment.
  • Build technical proficiency in RF welding processes and associated equipment.
Operational Support
  • Respond quickly and effectively to equipment issues to minimize production downtime.
  • Follow all safety, quality, environmental, and operational procedures.
  • Support special projects and operational initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing, automation, production, or related environments.
Required Technical Skills
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills involving:
    • Electrical systems
    • Mechanical systems
    • Pneumatic systems
    • Hydraulic systems
    • Controls and automation systems
  • Working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Ability to use PLC ladder logic as a troubleshooting tool.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Experience troubleshooting industrial networks and control systems.
  • Proficiency with maintenance tools, instrumentation, diagnostics, and test equipment.
  • Knowledge of both metric and standard measurement systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Certifications
Candidates must be able to successfully obtain:

Additional Responsibilities
  • May support alternate shifts and participate in on-call rotations as business needs require.
  • May lead maintenance improvement or special projects.
  • May handle, label, collect, and transfer hazardous waste in accordance with established procedures.
  • Must successfully complete required biohazard and safety training.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing and clean-room environment.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move materials weighing up to 500 pounds using carts or mechanized equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
  • Strong manual dexterity and visual acuity, including the ability to distinguish colors.
  • Ability to work under fluorescent and LED lighting conditions.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during a 12-hour shift.
