Job description

Starting Pay: $19.50

The Heavy Duty Casino Cleaner is responsible for deep cleaning, heavyequipment operation, and sanitation of casino, hotel, and kitchen areas. This role supports overall cleanliness and safety by operating industrial cleaning machines, maintaining backofhouse kitchen environments, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, Health Department, and company standards.

  • Experience operating heavyduty or industrial cleaning equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation standards and backofhouse cleaning procedures preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions including chemical labels, safety guidelines, and visual aids.
  • Ability to work in wet, greasy, hot, or confined environments.
  • Ability to respond promptly to radio communication.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to perform all essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work in a casino environment with exposure to loud noise, smoke, bright lights, wet areas, and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to work in kitchen environments with heat, steam, grease, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, reach, climb ladders, kneel, and perform repetitive motions required for deep cleaning tasks.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Compliance with all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Operate heavyduty cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, extractors, pressure washers, and other industrial machines. 
  • Perform deep cleaning of kitchen areas including hoods, vents, walls, floors, drains, and equipment exteriors. 
  • Clean and sanitize highuse backofhouse areas including dish rooms, prep spaces, walkins, loading docks, and service corridors. 
  • Remove grease buildup from floors, walls, and kitchen equipment surfaces using approved chemicals and tools. 
  • Perform scheduled deepcleaning projects including carpet extraction, grout cleaning, and highdusting. 
  • Maintain cleanliness of casino floors, public areas, and hightraffic zones using heavyduty equipment. 
  • Transport and dispose of large volumes of trash, recyclables, and kitchen waste safely and efficiently. 
  • Refill chemical bottles using proper dilution systems and ensure all containers are labeled per OSHA requirements. 
  • Follow all Health Department, OSHA, and company sanitation guidelines for chemical handling and equipment operation. 
  • Assist kitchen leadership with cleaning needs during inspections, audits, and special projects. 
  • Maintain clean, organized storage areas for equipment, tools, and supplies. 
  • Communicate maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to supervisors promptly. 
  • Support other departments with heavyduty cleaning tasks as needed.
  • Maintain positive working relationships and demonstrate courtesy and professionalism at all times. 
  • Wear proper uniform, PPE, and name badge and adhere to appearance standards.
  • Attend required training sessions and department meetings. 
  • Perform additional duties or special assignments as required.
