Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other engineers and departments to produce detailed drawings, prepare accurate 3D solid models, and develop solutions to engineering challenges. This role involves supporting product improvement and development teams, processing engineering change orders, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with other engineers to produce drawings from sketches, existing drawings, and electronic images.
  • Prepare accurate 3D solid models and Bill of Materials for customer orders.
  • Support the processing of Engineering Change Orders using Autodesk Vault Professional.
  • Devise new design solutions to encountered problems.
  • Assist the On-Going Product Improvement team with daily designs per customer specifications.
  • Assist the Product Development Team with new design concepts for building new products.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and solve problems.
  • Review issue management systems and follow up on related Engineering Change Orders.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with codes and legal regulations.
  • Receive training in the Vac-Con ECO system to make drawing changes when not assisting Production.
  • Create and develop modular BOM creation procedures for Vec-Loader products.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Skilled in 3D solid modeling, Autodesk Inventor, and Vault Professional preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Visual ERP is a plus.
  • Proficiency in sheet metal design, water piping, and hose routing.
  • Basic knowledge of steel and aluminum manufacturing processes, sheet metal fabrication, machining, and welding.
  • Preferred knowledge of parametric modeling, including assemblies and logical statements.
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic systems for mobile equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Competency in using Microsoft Office suites.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed environment.
  • Must be a team player.
