Job description

  • Provide preliminary design and drafting support for Factory Engineering across architectural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines
  • Prepare supporting documents for capital investment proposals with factory and Group Engineering teams
  • Create industrial drawings for equipment tooling, layouts, process flow sheets, P&IDs, and fabrication details
  • Prepare design specifications and assemble bid packages following AIA specifications
  • Execute small projects and building improvement or upgrade projects with contractor supervision
  • Keep factory key drawings up to date and properly archived
  • Support layouts and flow sheets during conceptual and basic design phases for new products, process lines, and line improvements
  • Propose alternatives supporting Early Management principles
  • Design machines or tooling using Autodesk Inventor
  • Update technical guidelines and drawing specifications
  • Maintain engineering drawing standards in accordance with Group Engineering standards
  • Organize engineering drawings and manuals in paper and electronic formats; digitize drawings as needed
  • Support project turnover and archive manuals and drawings for Engineering and Maintenance
  • Train factory engineers and third-party contractors on project and operational drawings
  • Support the Engineering Department with SAP and NIMT administration
  • Travel to Nestlé factories and vendor sites as required
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Professional certification in industrial design/drafting using AutoCAD preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D/3D
  • 4–6 years of experience in industrial design preferred
  • Work experience in a TPM environment preferred
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor or AutoCAD Factory Design Suite is a plus
  • Familiarity with hygiene requirements for food plant design
  • Ability to prepare architectural, mechanical, and electrical designs, including layouts, code requirements, and specifications
  • Familiarity with engineering discipline coordination, planning, and execution
  • Strong drafting and documentation skills
  • Work sequence-planning skills
  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus
  • Conceptual and technical problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based programs
  • Willingness to travel to other factories and vendor locations; expected travel 10–20%
