Job description

Well established technical furniture manufacturer in Western Suffolk, Long Island is seeking an experienced, motivated Draftsperson with expertise in AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Inventor and willingness to learn. Interest in technical furniture, wood working, and custom design is a strong plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Detail technical furniture designs in AutoCAD, Inventor, and/or Solidworks for design and production
  • Prepare and produce shop drawings for the manufacture and installation of TBC products
  • Understand our products to compile Bills of Material (BOM) as required
  • Facilitate the completion of our projects by interacting with sales personnel to provide accurate drawings for production

Skills:

  • Minimum 4 years in CAD software (AutoCAD and/or Inventor)
  • Ideally at least 2 years CNC programming experience (MasterCam and/or Fusion)
  • Understanding of BOMs
  • Work independently and as part of our design / engineering team

  • Experience in manufacturing, technical sales, and customer service
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
