Well established technical furniture manufacturer in Western Suffolk, Long Island is seeking an experienced, motivated Draftsperson with expertise in AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Inventor and willingness to learn. Interest in technical furniture, wood working, and custom design is a strong plus.
Responsibilities:
- Detail technical furniture designs in AutoCAD, Inventor, and/or Solidworks for design and production
- Prepare and produce shop drawings for the manufacture and installation of TBC products
- Understand our products to compile Bills of Material (BOM) as required
- Facilitate the completion of our projects by interacting with sales personnel to provide accurate drawings for production
Skills:
- Minimum 4 years in CAD software (AutoCAD and/or Inventor)
- Ideally at least 2 years CNC programming experience (MasterCam and/or Fusion)
- Understanding of BOMs
- Work independently and as part of our design / engineering team
