Job description

We are focused on exceeding our customer's expectations on every project and recognize it takes dedicated, hard working team members to accomplish this mission. Currently we are seeking a full-time CAD Operator/Drafting Engineer.

The primary function of this position will be to create shop production drawings from architectural and contract drawings, designs, and sketches using a Computer Aided Design (CAD) computer system, Bluebeam Revu, and others as applicable including creating, updating and modifying component drawings.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Complete assigned CAD duties including the creation of detailed shop drawings

  • Work closely with sales staff and field technicians to ensure order accuracy

  • Complete necessary documentation

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Experience, Skills & Requirements:

  • AutoCAD (or similar) experience or certification required

  • Associates degree, Bachelor's degree, or certificate from a technical trade school in CAD, drafting or related field

  • Bluebeam experience is preferred

  • At least 2 years of related work experience utilizing CAD

  • Strong math skills

  • Familiarity with construction industry or similar helpful

  • Good communication skills

  • Dependable, self-motivated and able to work without supervision

  • Detail-oriented

  • Able to work independently

  • Ability to work on and manage multiple projects at the same time
