Job description

North Clearwater

Seeking an Electrical Designer | Drafter responsible for creating standard and custom electrical drawings for low and medium voltage products, phase controllers, for both existing and new products. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and working knowledge of the applicable electrical codes and other related standards required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but other duties may be assigned as needed:
• Designs with supervision special and standard products, options and customer specific order manufacturing documentation. Manufacturing documentation will includes, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, routing layouts for full submittal drawings and bills of materials.
Working knowledge of relay logic, ladder logic, PLC’s, so as to be able to read and create schematics, ladder logic, electrical circuits, components, assemblies
• Participates in new product design beginning with the design concept to final product specification.
• .Understanding electrical design techniques, circuit protections, and principals involved in development of electrical drawings for Technical Data Packages (TDP).
• Processes customer change requests relevant to the engineering documentation
• Ability to work on multiple projects while maintaining customer delivery dates.


QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associated degree in Computer aided design (CAD) with AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical experience and/or B.S. in Electrical Engineering Degree, or 2-3 years related experience and/or training with equivalent of 2 years in motor control design with AutoCAD Electrical experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite Programs
• Ability to work alone and with minimum supervision, exceptional attention to detail
• Experience with Inventor, SolidWorks and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Working knowledge of relay logic, PLC’s and associated controls
• Knowledge of current electrical codes, NEC, NFPA, and UL and EU standards, and how they relate to motor control technology considered a plus.
