JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a motivated CAD Technician to join our growing engineering team. This role will initially support solar design projects before transitioning into substation drafting and design work. The ideal candidate will have strong technical drafting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a desire to build a long-term career within the power and utilities industry.
Key Responsibilities & Career Growth Opportunities
Create and update engineering drawings and design documentation for solar and substation projects using AutoCAD and other design software.
Support solar projects initially, with the opportunity to expand into substation drafting and design as experience is gained.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams across multiple office locations to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
Assist with revisions, markups, and design updates while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and industry standards.
Participate in project coordination and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Take ownership of assigned work, demonstrate initiative, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Grow into advanced technical and leadership roles, including Electrical Designer, Physical Designer (Substation), or Project Manager, through ongoing training and mentorship opportunities.
