Job description

Budget Truck and Auto is an auto body shop in Janesville, WI. We specialize in light duty (passenger vehicles) and heavy duty (semi's, motor coaches, RV's) performing collision repair, custom painting, and vinyl graphics. Budget is looking for an experienced painter to add to our team, focused on heavy duty vehicles, including semi's, motorcoaches, RV's, and trailers. Candidates should have the following:

  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
  • Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to be a team player
  • Ability to multi-task and follow-up on multiple projects
  • Detail oriented
  • Attendance/punctuality
  • Must have tools required to perform tasks

Job Responsibilities

  • Paint surfaces of vehicles and wheels using spray-painting equipment, power tools and work aids utilizing specific surface preparation and painting techniques
  • Inspect areas to be painted for repair, prepping and/or buffing defects
  • Mix to specified color using standard formulas or color charts
  • Sand, mask, blend, and polish finish to match surrounding areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e., provide technical assistance to helpers, orient and train new employees, etc
