Automotive Sales Associate (Car Sales / Retail Auto Sales) - Murgado Ford of Chicago
Murgado Ford of Chicago (Murgado Automotive Group) is hiring an Automotive Sales Associate to join our high-performing car sales team. If you're a motivated sales professional who enjoys fast-paced retail environments and wants to build a career in auto sales, this role offers training, support, and strong earning potential. You'll work directly with customers as a consultative car salesman / car sales representative, helping them find the right Ford vehicle, financing, and options-while delivering an exceptional dealership experience.
Key Responsibilities (Automotive Sales):
  • Customer engagement: Greet and assist customers, identify needs, and provide a professional, consultative car salesman experience from first contact to delivery.
  • Product knowledge: Learn Ford vehicles, trims, technology, warranties, and competitive comparisons.
  • Sales process: Manage test drives, trade-in appraisals (as applicable), pricing discussions, and purchase paperwork in partnership with managers and finance.
  • Financing & protection products: Introduce financing options and coordinate with the finance team to support a smooth close.
  • Follow-up & relationship building: Maintain communication to ensure satisfaction, answer questions, and generate repeat and referral car sales.
  • Goal achievement: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly automotive sales targets.
  • CRM & lead management: Use CRM tools to track opportunities, appointments, and your auto sales pipeline.
  • Training & teamwork: Participate in ongoing training and collaborate with sales, service, and finance to deliver a great customer experience.

Qualifications (Retail Auto Sales):
  • Sales experience: Prior experience is preferred but not required (customer service, retail sales, or auto sales experience is a plus).
  • Communication: Clear, confident communication and active listening skills.
  • Customer-first mindset: Commitment to delivering a great dealership experience and building long-term relationships.
  • Self-motivated: Goal-oriented, coachable, and comfortable working in a performance-driven car sales environment.
  • Technology: Comfortable using computers, digital retail tools, and CRM systems to manage leads and follow-ups.
  • Valid driver's license: Required with an acceptable driving record.
