As a Parts Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of parts to professional customers.

What will a successful Parts Delivery Driver accomplish in the first 90 days?
  • Establish a reputation for providing great customer service to our valued customers
  • Operate company-supplied van safely and without accidents. Keep the company vehicle in excellent condition.
  • Exhibit a willingness to work overtime to get the job done

Essential Job Functions:
  • Drive a company vehicle to deliver parts and products to customers and pick up customer returns. Route typically includes 10-15 stops per day. Up to 250 miles roundtrip.
  • Complete tasks through various applications (Whip Around, Part Car Relocate, Picture app, Skype, and Concur)
  • Maintain a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service
  • Project a professional and personable image to maintain good customer relations
  • Report vehicle maintenance needs through Whip Around app
  • Drive safely and defensively, adhering to all company safety standards
  • Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
  • Check with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter representative or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries.
  • Deliver parts to the warehouse when needed for distribution to the appropriate technicians
  • Verify that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up
  • Check payments received with the invoices for each delivery
  • Turn in all COD 's from route into security box.
  • Handle basic maintenance of the vehicle including filling the tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean and making sure required inspections are performed.
  • Perform related duties as assigned
  • Work overtime as needed

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED and/or at least one (1) year delivery driving experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Familiarity with automotive parts
  • Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service
  • Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences and perform basic math
  • Excellent decision making skills and ability to self-direct
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations
  • Must have a valid class C driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) per department standards

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Physical stamina and good upper body strength to lift heavy objects, as well as the ability to load and unload them from vehicle
  • Ability to lift/load/unload up to 75 lbs.
