Currently seeking an experienced Senior Work Comp Claim Adjuster to provide quality, cost efficient, and timely investigation of liability claims and provide exceptional customer service. The selected candidate will handle claims primarily for the states of Florida, Pennsylvania, and other mid-Atlantic jurisdictions based on business needs. With our One Team approach, the Claim staff partners with UW and Risk Control to meet the needs of valued agency partners and policyholders. Responsibilities include managing an inventory of claims handled within departmental guidelines, following best practices and procedures and budgetary guidelines. The selected candidate will evaluate coverage/compensability and may need to complete field investigations with a focus on quality claim handling leading to file resolution. This position can be located at FCCI office in Sarasota or Lake Mary, FL, Richmond, VA, or remote in FCCI territory in Florida and Mid-Atlantic Region.

The salary range for this position is $62,419-$96,126 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

QualificationsExperienceRequired
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent, NOTE: Relevant, progressively responsible work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education
  • Minimum of four years commercial claim WC claim adjusting experience
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Current active adjuster license in assigned jurisdiction
  • Strong working knowledge of insurance claim procedures, rules, systems, and regulations
  • Strong working knowledge of claim file management techniques and processes
  • Strong working understanding of the judicial and legal systems. Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze, define and solve problems; the use of good judgment and decision-making
  • Ability to interpret and explain insurance policy coverage and pertinent state regulations as applicable to the area of claims handling
  • AIC, SCLA designation or other relevant and pertinent coursework or experience
Preferred
  • Experience with the states of FL, MD, PA or VA are a plus
