Personal Auto Property Damage (PD) Claims Adjuster

Los Angeles | Onsite/Hybrid | Claims

Onward Insurance- A Knight Insurance Company

Pay Range: $55,000- $65,000 Per Year. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.

What You'll Do as a Personal Auto Property Damage (PD) Claims Adjuster:

  • Manage a dedicated inventory of personal auto property damage claims
  • Investigate coverage, liability, and damages
  • Review police reports, witness statements, photographs, and repair estimates
  • Evaluate damages and establish appropriate reserves
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants, repair facilities, and vendors
  • Identify subrogation opportunities
  • Escalate SIU concerns when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate claim documentation and diary management
  • Comply with California claims handling regulations and company procedures

Qualifications

What do we look for in our Personal Auto Property Damage (PD) Claims Adjuster?

  • 1+ years of personal auto claims experience preferred
  • Property Damage claims experience preferred
  • Understanding of California auto liability fundamentals
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage claim inventory independently
  • Experience with claims management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus

Work Arrangement

This is a primarily in-office position located in Los Angeles. Following successful completion of training and demonstrated performance, employees may be eligible for up to one work-from-home day per week, subject to business needs and manager approval. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite the majority of the workweek.
