What does an auto finance sales representative do?

An Auto Finance Sales Representative works at car dealerships or financial institutions to help customers secure financing for vehicle purchases. Lendbuzz is looking for a hands-on training leader to help shape how our field sales team learns, grows, and performs. This role is best suited for someone with experience in automotive retail training, dealership sales, F&I, or auto finance.

This is not a traditional L&D role. We are looking for someone who understands dealerships, lender relationships, and how field reps succeed. If you can coach from real-world experience and help new hires ramp quickly, we want to hear from you.

  • Teach practical skills tied to dealership operations, deal structure, and field execution

  • Build and improve training materials, role plays, and exercises to reinforce our sales process and drive field readiness

  • Partner with Sales Leadership and cross-functional teams to align training with business priorities and performance goals

  • Measure training effectiveness through assessments and feedback, continuously improving learning impact

  • Maintain program documentation, learning assets, and performance reports to support scalability and consistency

What You Bring
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive retail, dealership sales, F&I, auto finance, or another dealer-facing role.

  • Strong understanding of dealership operations and the sales process.

  • Proven success teaching, coaching, and communicating with credibility.

  • Strong in-person facilitation and presentation skills.

  • Familiarity with Dealertrack, RouteOne, or similar platforms is a plus.

  • Prior training, mentoring, or onboarding experience is helpful, but not required.

  • A collaborative mindset and passion for developing others.

Who Will Do Well in This Role

This role is a strong fit for someone from:

  • dealership sales

  • F&I

  • lender field sales

  • dealer relationship management

  • automotive finance operations

You may benefit from having formal training experience, but it is not required. Real industry knowledge and the ability to develop others matter more.
