Summary:
The Auto Finance Regional Area Credit Manager oversees all credit operations for auto dealer originated (indirect) consumer loans for multiple geographic markets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all credit decisions, and personally handles the most complex loans.
  • Develops and maintains business in the market through dealer relations and customer service, and monitors portfolio compliance and risk.
  • Ensures all staff are properly trained, and that all policies/procedures and regulations are complied with.
  • Makes recommendations for policy changes to improve effectiveness.
  • Oversees all credit operations for auto dealer originated (indirect) consumer loans for specific markets.
  • Dealer Management - develops and maintains business in the market territories through dealer relations and customer service.
  • Responsible for the approval, denial and negotiation of consumer auto credit applications originated through auto dealers for specific geographic markets.
  • Oversees all credit decisions for assigned markets.
  • Responsible for monitoring portfolio compliance and risk.
  • Ensures all staff are properly trained and that all policies/procedures and regulations are in compliance.
  • Makes recommendations for policy changes to improve effectiveness.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Local Dealer knowledge and relationships
  • Experience working with multiple dealership and dealer groups
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Prime Auto underwriting experience
  • Demonstrate a professional, personable and friendly communication style with a focus on customer service and an ability to interact with all levels of individuals on the phone and in person
  • Enjoy working independently and effectively in a deadline-driven, multi-task environment, with organization and attention to detail being imperative

Compensation Range:

$93,000 - $189,000 Annual Salary

The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
