They assess the extent of vehicle damage, remove and replace damaged parts, straighten frames, and refinish surfaces to restore vehicles to their original condition. Auto body technicians often work with specialized tools and techniques, including welding, painting, and computerized measuring systems. Their work is essential for both the safety and appearance of vehicles.

Familiarity with tools like frame machines, spray guns, welding equipment, and certifications such as ASE or I-CAR are typically required. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and strong customer service skills help set top technicians apart. These competencies are essential to ensure vehicles are safely and aesthetically restored, meeting both industry standards and customer satisfaction.
