Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Body Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition with precision and care. Your expertise in auto body repair, welding, fabrication, and cosmetic restoration will ensure our customers receive top-quality service. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about automotive repair and dedicated to delivering exceptional results. You will work with a variety of tools and techniques to perform structural repairs, auto painting, dent removal, and more, contributing to the overall safety and aesthetic appeal of each vehicle.
Responsibilities
  • Perform automotive structural repairs using MIG welding, soldering, and welding repair techniques to restore vehicle frames and panels
  • Fabricate sheet metal parts and repair damaged body panels through fabrication and auto restoration methods
  • Conduct auto body repairs including dent removal, sanding, sanding tools use, and automotive cosmetic repair to achieve a smooth finish
  • Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision using hand tools and power tools
  • Apply auto painting techniques including auto body refinishing, auto painting, airless paint spraying, and automotive welding equipment handling for flawless finishes
  • Utilize automotive parts installation skills to ensure proper fitment and alignment of repaired components
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, estimate costs accurately using auto estimating procedures, and communicate effectively with customers about repair progress

Skills
  • Proven experience working as an automotive body technician in a dealership or similar environment
  • Strong MIG welding skills along with experience in soldering, welding repair, and fabrication repair techniques
  • Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems to assist with structural repairs and component replacements
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive cosmetic repair equipment
  • Knowledge of automotive structural repair standards and auto restoration processes
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during vehicle repairs and part installations
  • Excellent customer service skills combined with experience in auto estimating for accurate job quoting
  • Familiarity with automotive parts installation including auto glass replacement and automotive parts assembly
  • Experience with auto painting techniques such as airless paint spraying and automotive body refinishing
  • Basic mechanic experience is a plus for understanding vehicle maintenance requirements
